Resiliance

I think my Sadie Bug is going to have a strong personality just like me.

This excites and scares me. I know she will be passionate and determined, but I also know that she will always want to do things her way and get mad when she can't.

Case in point:

Sadie does not want to nap during the day, especially when daddy is home. She is so scared that she is going to miss out on something, that she will jar herself awake every few minutes so that she can be a part of the party. She has become so resilient that she will cry when we put her down to sleep, but fall asleep as soon as we cuddle her! It is quite flattering, but Sadie gets so tired, that she just fusses. We have read that it is normal for babies to fuss during the evening until 3-4 months, but I feel bad for Brian because Sadie and I have so much fun during the day!

We are going to let her nap in the pack and play when he is here so that she can see us, but she hasn't gone for it yet. If we take her out and put her on the couch next to us, she falls right asleep. I don't get it - it is only a three foot difference!
